Snow much fun!

It snowed about 10” last week and Audrey was out of school Thursday and Friday--well, and Monday too because she was sick, so she only went to school 2 days last week!  On Thursday, when the snow was still coming down and didn’t show any signs of slowing, Matt asked, “You guys wanna go to swim?”  Ya, that’s typically what you think of doing when there’s practically a blizzard outside!  But we put our swimsuits on, bundled up in our snow gear and headed out.  Except for the friends we asked to meet us there, we were the only ones to enjoy such an activity on that wintry day.  We had a lot of fun, and the kids got to expend their energy! 

I didn’t take my camera to the pool, but Matt took this pic with his handy dandy iPhone:On Friday, the kids braved the freezing wind to play out in the snow.  Here they are, posing for the me in their snowsuits.  Audrey is SUCH a poser! :)On Sunday, it was perfect weather for building snowmen. Judah had a little help with his: But Audrey and some neighborhood boys built their own.Audrey asked for some buttons to decorate the snowmen with, but after telling her I didn’t have any big ones that would work, her creative side kicked in and she asked for candy instead.  I thought that was a pretty good alternative!  But she had a hard time trying not to eat the candy off her poor little snowguy.Fun times!
